Field hockey bounces back

After losing to Michigan State and Louisville at the Duke tournament, the Delaware field hockey team won its first home game 10-2 against Brown University today. This is an exciting win for the Hens, who began last season with a five-game losing streak. Standout Casey Howard ferociously made her return to the Hens lineup after sitting out last season due to injury. At the tournament she posted the Hens first goal against MSU within the first six minutes of play. Today she set a school record, scoring five goals against Brown. Hopefully Howard makes these performances a habit as the Hens approach conference play at the end of the month.
